Description: Order of the Red Star of a captain, Commander of the 41st Mortar Brigade of the General Command reserve, documented medal, the group is accompanied by copies of his military record, providing numerous information, including the reasons for which he was awarded his decorations (includes the complete translation into English), consists of:

-Order of the Red Star, No. 1,074,756 , awarded on January 28, 1945: "Breaking the lasting defense of the enemy on the Narévskiy parade ground on January 14, 1945 Captain Palozhenko when replacing the absent brigade scout commander, was all the time at the point of advance [illegible] among the infantry fighting ranks and, risking his life personally carried out scouting of the enemy.


In the area north of the town of Pultuyek the enemy made three counterattacks with the support of tanks and self-propelled guns.
As many as 20 Germans with self-propelled [illegible] three sides to Captain Palozhenko, 5 German tanks got between the fighting ranks of infantry.
Captain Palozhenko immediately ordered fire over the radio, as a result of which the enemy was repulsed and subsequently driven out of the woods.
During the fighting from January 14 to January 20 he scouted 5 batteries of singletons, 12 machine gun points and 4 75mm guns. All targets detected by him were annihilated by the fire of the brigade.
